Many in the industry have been awaiting dual channel wireless that couples the quality needed with affordability. With that in mind, Audio Technica has launched the 1800 Series dual channel UHF wireless system. Two completely independent receiver channels are housed in a single, compact housing. These channels can be operated in single channel mode for better battery life. This dual channel receiver will help keep down the bulk and weight for most camera operators. The ATW1821 system is supplied with 2 bodypack transmitters for use in a talent situation or getting wireless audio to camera. The Dual balanced inputs enable signals to be mixed or independently assigned to each output. Separate level controls provide flexible audio mixing and monitoring possibilities. The ATW1821 includes 996 user selectable frequencies and a choice of power modes for battery conservation. Another must have feature that is included is automatic frequency scanning to aid in finding that clear spot in crowded environments.
