Step into the exciting world of Rocket League Esports with STEMForged, where we're not just about scoring goals but also about scoring big on personal growth and social-emotional
learning. Our program is a combination of competitive gaming and student soft skill
development, geared toward empowering students with teamwork skills, resilience, and
strategic thinking both in and out of game.

Rocket League is a high-octane, physics-based vehicle soccer game where players control
rocket-powered cars to hit a ball into the opposing team's goal. It combines fast-paced
action with elements of soccer and racing, offering a unique and exciting gameplay
experience. Teams consist of 2-3 players, with the bulk of competitive play being centered
around teams of 3. Our content brings challenges and valuable insight to players of all skill
levels.

Content Units
Our Rocket League content is divided into 6 categories which are designed to encompass all
of the learning and skill mastery a student needs to completely master the game.
Each category (unit) includes a rubric for assessing student growth labeled under ?Score
Criteria?, these units are:
1. Vision & Awareness
a. The ability to use information gathering tools found in game and their overall
awareness of surrounding events and plays. Students can predict and prepare
for upcoming plays.

2. Car Control & Recoveries
a. The ability to maneuver their car both on the ground and in the air and to freely
move their car to effectively make contact with their target. Factors in student
uptime..

3. Ball Control & Possession
a. Student ability to make the ball go where they want the ball to go; whether this
is to a teammate, away from an opponent, or into the opposing goal. This also
incorporates students being able to maintain possession and ?dribble? the ball
down the field with all of the fancy footwork that goes into that.

4. Boost & Momentum Management
a. Students' awareness of boost (one of the only finite resources in RL, the other
being time) levels and how efficiently they can secure additional fuel. Students
can also maintain enough boost and momentum to be impactful.

5. Off the Ball Movement
a. Student mastery of rotations and positioning. Factors in the application of
constant pressure on opponents by stealing boost and threatening to take
possession of the ball.

6. Communication
a. Student ability to effectively share information with their teammates. Maintains
constant communication and is able to quickly strategize and react to verbal
feedback.
