The Wahsega Single Channel Zone controller is a utilitarian tool that allows organizations to achieve many objectives with the main one being the ability to connect older legacy systems with the Carina platform. Through the use of line level audio, Carina audio announcements can be fed into an analog amplifier or directly into self-amplified analog speakers. This is vital for organizations with multiple buildings to tie in older systems during the transitionary period of upgrading everything to a digital system.
There are many other use cases for the Zone Controller that can help organizations implement a system with complete coverage. The Zone Controller has the ability to take audio from a connected device, like streaming music, and send that to any desired devices. Another key feature is the ability for the Zone Controller to send Carina audio broadcast over a mobile radio terrestrial network. While connected to an analog speaker system, the Zone controller can also control devices through its onboard relay or it can monitor a connected IoT sensor.
The Single Channel Zone Controller can be managed by the Carina Event Manager, Event Manager Lite or InformaCast.
