Fujifilm FinePix F300EXR Digital Camera is a point and shoot camera with many advanced features. It's got 12.0 megapixels of resolution for clear, beautiful photos, intelligent image stabilization (say good-bye to shaky, blurry pics), multi-frame composition, super intelligent flash that makes sure your flash pictures are always well-balanced with the natural light, hybrid high speed auto focus, EXR auto mode and face detection to optimize focus and exposure for faces of people (and dogs, and cats) in your pictures. The huge 3" LCD screen makes it easy to frame and review your pictures.

The camera features a Fujinon 15x optical zoom lens (equivalent to 24-360mm on a 35mm camera) that can capture almost any type of shot you might want. You can also shoot HD video with 720p resolution by pressing the "one touch movie button", and view it on a HD TV with the camera's built-in micro HDMI interface. For still images of fast moving subjects you can use the camera's tracking auto focus, and in S mode you can set the camera to ISO 12800. This is helpful for fast moving subjects or shooting in low light. You can select "Motion Panorama Mode," by pressing the shutter button and then sweep the camera to pan the scene. The FinePix F300EXR cleverly produces a stunning 360° panorama shot, effortlessly and automatically.

Hybrid Auto Focus System

Phase detection sensor pairs on the EXR sensor work like the sensors of a DSLR. Unlike slower Contrast AF which continually adjusts until maximum contrast is detected. Phase Detection AF divides incoming light into image pairs, performs a single calculation of the phase difference to determine the precise direction and amount of focus adjustment achieving an incredible auto focus detection speed of 0.158 seconds.

Hybrid Auto Focus

Enhanced with built-in phase detection pixels, the Super CCD EXR sensor has both contrast and phase detection auto focus. F300EXR harnesses this power with an innovative hybrid AF system that intelligently selects between the two focus systems. In most scenes and especially dark scenes, conventional Contrast AF captures beautiful results, but struggles to find a focus when shooting high-contrast subjects or with a long zoom. The F300EXR with Hybrid Auto Focus can instantly switch to the speed and accuracy of Phase Detection AF for these scenes. Even at maximum 15x zoom when subject is moving and the moment is fleeting, you won't miss the shot.

Intelligent IS (Image Stabilization) for Blur-free Results

Longer zoom magnifies not only the image, but also blur-causing hand shake. Featuring an improved gyro stabilization system, Intelligent I.S. not only improves correction for "quick and short" vibrations caused by shaky hands, but also is very responsive to "big and slow" movement like body sway. Especially shooting night portraits with long zoom, Intelligent I.S. enables shooting at lower sensitivity and slower speeds for blur-free photos with silky smooth gradation and minimal noise.

High Sensitivity ISO 12800

With maximum sensitivity of ISO 12800, photos appear natural and more true to life even with limited available light. High sensitivity also stops the action of high-speed moving subjects. At ISO 12800 and ISO 6400, number of recorded pixels is limited to the S setting. At ISO 3200, number of recorded pixels is limited the M setting. At full resolution (12 megapixels), sensitivity is limited to a maximum ISO 1600 or lower.

3" High Contrast LCD

Image Processing Function of Multi Frame Composition

This focus-bracketing mode emulates the gentle, out-of-focus background look of a DSLR when shooting portraits or macro subjects. A single press of the shutter first takes an exposure focused on the main subject, then additional exposures at different focus points. This produces a final image emphasizing the sharply focused subject against a soft, out-of-focus background.

Pro Low-light Mode

Ideal for shooting non-moving subjects in low light, this mode automatically takes a series of four high-sensitivity & low-noise exposures and then combines them into an image with less noise than the single exposures.

Face Detection

Face Detection optimizes people pictures and adjusting focus and exposure to ensure bright, clear results. It can simultaneously recognize up to 10 faces in a photo. Share your group portraits using the Zoom Up function in playbacks, checking each detected face. Each priceless expression can be cropped and saved in clear high resolution results.

Face Recognition

This function not only detects faces in a frame but it can also recognize who is who. You can register up to 8 people in your camera and next time you take a photo of them it will bring up their name and optimize settings in favor of your registered faces. In playback, you can search for all photos containing registered faces to quickly find photos of your favorites.

Red-Eye Removal in Detected Faces

Red-eye removal automatically detects and corrects flash reflection for a perfect end result.

Auto Release

As soon as the Face Detection function detects the face, shutter is automatically released capturing the finest of the person with great optimization.

Face Detection Timer Function

The Face Detection Self-Timer automatically sets off after the number and position of faces in a scene are detected, snapping the photo at the right moment, with all the faces in focus and properly exposed.

Dog/ Cat Detection

By Incorporating Dog/ Cat Detection function, the FinePix F300EXR is able to detect dog or cat faces, optimizing focus and exposure for pet photos that will delight everyone. An auto-release function can also be selected to automatically shoot the photo when the pet is looking directly at the camera.

Quickly search favorite pictures depending on the rank using image search. You can also search by date, face, scene and type of data.

Photobook Assist

Create a photo album in your camera. Easily accessible and mobile, you can share images with family and friends anytime, anywhere. Installed in-camera, you can create a photobook folder where tagged images will be stored and organized accordingly. Your photobook can also be ordered online for print when connected to the internet, as well as when you go to stores to get your photos printed, images can easily be sorted when tagged.
